PC Empowerment is the home of America’s first Back-to-School Digital Detox Week! Join us in a critical mission: raising awareness about digital mental health and helping communities develop healthy, ethical, and efficient technology practices. PC Empowerment is a pioneering organization dedicated to addressing the psychological impact of technology and digital devices on the well-being of our communities.
Here’s a quick snapshot of what we’ve been able to accomplish this year:

May 2025: Launched our Digital Mental Health Facilitator Training, provided educational programming, and certified 4 Digital Mental Health Facilitators who have impacted 112 individuals
July 2025: Hosted our first Community Fun Day in collaboration with BuildUP Community School and other partners, and our first Afterwork Mixer fundraiser for Digital Mental Health
August 2025: Launched America’s first Back-to-School Digital Detox Week in collaboration with V94.9, as the new FOCUS Act prohibits students from using devices during the learning day
Fall 2025: Launching our Digital Mental Health in Urban Schools pilot in Bessemer City Schools
